Color Me Beautiful Review – Scam or Legitimate?

November 1st, 2010 No comments

For those of you who are researching Color Me Beautiful as your home based business, I will be providing you with information to answer some key questions.  Who is Color Me Beautiful?  Do they offer high quality products to their customers?  Lastly, does Color Me Beautiful offer a legitimate business opportunity?  Lets begin my Color Me Beautiful review.

The Color Me Beautiful company was inspired by the best-selling book “Color Me Beautiful,” and was established in the late 1980s to help women achieve their full beauty potential.  To achieve this goal, Color Me Beautiful offers products related to make up, skin care, body care, and accessories.

While these products use to be offered in department stores, today, Color Me Beautiful offers their products exclusively through their multi-level marketing (MLM) business opportunity.

To become a Color Me Beautiful Consultant, the price will be $99 plus $20 for shipping and handling.  This will provide you with your Career Starter Pack, which will contain many products and business supplies to help you achieve a fast start in your new business.

How will I be trained to build my business?

The majority of sales throughout Color Me Beautiful are achieved in home parties.  Color Me Beautiful refers to these parties as Beauty Hours.  You will be trained to schedule these Beauty Hours in the homes of all your loved ones and acquaintances.  They advertise that if you conduct one Beauty Hour per week, that you will earn $480 per month.  If you conduct 2 Beauty Hours per week, you will earn approximately $1,280 per month.  As you begin your recruiting efforts, and bring in Consultants who are duplicating your efforts, you will earn more.  These will be the methods of marketing that you will be trained and encouraged to utilize in building your business.

In my opinion, Color Me Beautiful is a legitimate business.  However, it is important to take into consideration the challenges of building a business around your warm market of friends and family members, as your training will be limited to these practices.  With that being said, Color Me Beautiful offers great products, and many rewards for building a profitable business, if you are willing to put in the effort that will be required.

As always, I wish you success in your search for a home based business for you and your family.

Discover an Insightful Anti Aging Skin Care Review

July 25th, 2010 No comments

You can learn a lot by reading an anti aging skin care review, but I usually stick with the ones that say “no result” or “adverse reactions”. Some people are happy with an anti aging skin care system, while others say that the same product stinks, sometimes literally.

In this anti aging skin care review, I plan to focus on fragrances. Our noses are part of the olfactory system, which is directly connected to the central nervous system. Ever wonder how aromatherapy works?

Chemical messages are passed along through the olfactory system to the central nervous system and finally to a portion of the brain that controls moods and emotions. Some of your memories are linked directly to what you smelled at the time. So, the wrong scent in an anti aging skin care system can literally affect your mood, either negatively or positively.

Certain aromas, such as lavender, are supposed to stimulate certain feelings, such as calmness. In some people, this works, but it depends greatly on memories that the smell of lavender may trigger.

I bring this up, because recently I read an anti aging skin care review, in which the woman raved about the product, not because it lessened her wrinkles or tightened her sagging skin, but because it “felt good” and made her feel better about herself. I read another anti aging skin care review of the same product and that woman hated it.

When I was finally able to find a list of the ingredients in the anti aging skin care system (which can be difficult, because most companies prefer that you don’t know that the primary ingredient is water), I found that it contained “essential” oils and listed lavender, chamomile, geranium and others.

These oils can only affect the skin’s health negatively. It is the fragrance that probably accounts for the one rave anti aging skin care review, as well as the negative one.

The right oils for an effective anti aging skin care system are those that are most similar to the body’s own oils. They include olive, jojoba and grape seed oil, but none of the essential oils mentioned above. They are primarily added to appeal to the nose.

Artificial and added fragrances do not really belong in an anti aging skin care system at all. They can cause irritation, allergic reactions and the term when listed on an ingredients label could apply to about 4000 different synthetic chemicals. Some of them cause cancer. Others are merely toxic.

The best anti aging skin care system is one that focuses on your skin’s health and that of your entire body. Anything put on the skin will eventually end up in the bloodstream. Anything that has a scent can affect your mental health.

I am sure that this was not your typical anti aging skin care review. But, hopefully it provided a little information about what to look for and inspired you to learn more.
