What Causes Acne?

• salicylic acid - this will help in breaking down blackheads and whiteheads. It also cuts down on the shedding of cells lining the hair follicles.
• Sulfur - This will help in breaking down blackheads and whiteheads.
The current prescription drugs are as follows:
• Antibiotics - help stop or slow the growth of bacteria and reduce inflammation.
• Vitamin A derivatives - They help to pull the existing comedones, allowing other topical medicines on the follicles.
• Other - The benzoyl peroxide, sodium sulfacetamide / sulfur and Azelaic acid helps to reduce oil production or help stop or slow the growth of bacteria and reduce inflammation.
